JHU V2X Testbed Experimental Platform

Introduction

In 2024, I started to work with Dr. Krishan Sabnani to build a V2X platform for multipath transmission. The JHU V2X Testbed is an experimental platform designed for research in areas such as vehicular networks, cooperative perception, and vehicular cybersecurity.

This is the first version of prototype.

Currently, this is the design of the testbed: each shuttle is equipped with a Raspberry Pi and a smartphone. The phone serves as the internet interface for the Raspberry Pi, which runs various experimental applications. Additionally, there is a server with a public IP address located in the JHU DMZ. This server functions as a VPN relay, facilitating network traffic between different hosts in the system. As a result, other devices such as your laptop can communicate with the Raspberry Pi on the shuttle, provided they are connected to the VPN.

Now it focuses on dumping sensor data and streaming live video.
